Dementia Awareness Week 2018 is coming soon
90,000 people in Scotland are living with dementia
A dementia diagnosis changes the lives of not only a person with dementia, but also their family and friends.
Dementia Awareness Week 2018 focuses on making sure nobody faces dementia alone. It’s vital that people living with dementia feel recognised, valued and supported in their local communities. Alzheimer Scotland is committed to providing a wide-range of dementia-specific support in the heart of local communities.
People can live well with dementia with the right information, care and support.
So, by learning just a little bit more about dementia, you can make a big difference.
We have several events going on locally throughout the week including an opportunity to become a Dementia Friend, Awareness & Fundraising Events, Renfrewshire Services Open Afternoon and a Tea & Blether event.
